First year course work consists of compulsory (Exp. Design & Analysis, GIS & Remote Sensing, Integrated Resource Mgt, Rangeland Ecosystem Structure & Function, Fodder Flow, Rangeland egradation & its Mitigation, Nutrition of Foraging Animals, Sustainable Livelihoods, Range Biodiversity & Conservation) and elective courses (Soil Dynamics, Water Dynamics, Environmental Physiology, Land Use Planning, Wildlife Ecology & Management, Natural Resource Economics, Natural Resource Policies). Second year consists of research and thesis.

The course is taught in conjunction with WITS and Eduardo Mondlane Universities.
