Based in Pietermaritzburg, the “City of Choice”, the Research Centre for Plant Growth and Development (RCPGD) is committed to excellence in research, training and skills development of postgraduate students. Our main areas of focus include plant physiology, molecular biology and ethnobotany. We believe strongly in collaborative research, and have partnerships with several research groups throughout the world. Our research group is similarly diverse with international students enjoying and flourishing in the dynamic and well-equipped working environment of the RCPGD at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
