- BiblioLine Databases: Wildlife and Ecology Studies Worldwide
- There are several BiblioLine databases which are relevant to grassland and related scientists.
- FAO Agriculture Department: Crop and Grassland Service
- Useful databases of grassland species profiles, country pasture profiles and tropical forages fact sheets
- French on-line journal Secheresse
- They focus on arid zone research, and have also established a database of research organizations and their publications. The URL which directs you to each country. Although the site is in French, it is easy to identify each country and then to go into the various universities and research councils. Many publications are only as abstracts, but they do give you some full text articles for free.
- Fynbos i-Forum
- The Fynbos i-Forum is a searchable database including publications and reports on scientific and management aspects of biodiversity conservation in the Cape Floristic Region. Version 1.1 of the database contains 6 229 entries on published and unpublished material in any format up to October 2007, and will continue to be expanded as new material becomes available. Access the Fynbos i-Forum online to: search for items by location, author, editor, title, date, subject or format check that all your own publications are represented submit additional citations using a form available on the website report any errors found in the bibliography.

- About 13000 scientific journals are now available in the 'Open Science Directory'. When all the special program journals will be included, the Open Science Directory will contain more than 20000 titles. Open Science Directory contains collections of Open Access Journals (e.g. Directory of Open Access Journals) and journals in the special programs (Hinari, Agora, OARE). Other programs will be added in the near future: INASP-PERI, eJDS.
